Warner Wins 2nd Brigade Barracks and Company Operations

2nd Brigade Barracks and Company Operations Facilities
The project, which was issued a notice to proceed in October 2004, consists of three 6-story, 128-man barracks; two 2-story quad operation facilities; one large company operation facility; and a Battalion Headquarters. The project is currently under construction with a total contract value of $72 million and a contract completion due date of December 2006. Work includes site preparation and the construction of all facilities on a 70-acre site. Site work includes concrete pavement, sidewalks, sewer, electrical service, storm drainage, erosion control measures and landscaping. The project adheres to DOD anti-terrorism standards and was awarded the 2005 Sustained Superior Safety Performance ranking from the Army Corps of Engineers. Warner has been requested to analyze seven disputed issues and prepare requests for equitable adjustment for additional time and compensation to be sent to the U.S. Army. Fred Bush is Warner’s Executive-in-Charge of this assignment. This new contract is the third assignment from Walsh/Archer Western in the past year stemming from our on-going work by Warner on the GSA Federal Building in Washington, DC, where Walsh is the joint venture partner of the James G. Davis Construction Corporation.
