Fred Bush P.E., Esq., Acct., PSP Vice President

Fred Bush is a licensed professional engineer, attorney, and accountant with over 30 years of experience in the resolution, management, and avoidance of construction claims, construction project management, and the development of risk avoidance strategies. Fred initially gained experience with construction claims while working for a large general contractor. In the mid-1990s, Mr. Bush began focusing his experience on claims resolution issues and now possesses significant experience on claims involving the United States government and multiple government agencies as well as international claims with a concentration in the Middle East. Fred’s experience includes resolving issues on highways, bridges, government office buildings, concert halls, academic buildings, hospitals, hotels, housing, water and wastewater treatment plants including collection and distribution systems, steam generation, and power generation.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Bush worked for Cianbro Corporation, a large general contractor. During his 18 years with Cianbro, Mr. Bush estimated and managed numerous highway and bridge construction projects and also was a manager for construction of a new 25 million gallon per day water treatment plant in Washington, DC and rehabilitation of the Quantico Marine Base central heating plant. Mr. Bush then spent 12 years with Hill International where he assisted clients with the resolution of numerous claims and analyzed, estimated, negotiated, and settled hundreds of construction contract changes, both nationally and internationally.

Mr. Bush has also prepared and presented several training sessions on claims avoidance to local county governments, made a presentation on “How to Win Construction Claims” for the DC Chapter of the Associated General Contractors, and most recently authored the article, “Effective Resolution of Disputes,” which he also presented at a seminar for the National Business Institute.
