Children's Inn at NIH Dinner

On Monday, February 5th, the Warner Team had the privilege of catering and serving dinner to the families and patients at the Children's Inn at NIH in Bethesda, Maryland.  While the medical needs of the children are taken care of by NIH, the social and emotional needs are cared for at the Inn.  The Inn is a "safe haven," where children and their families can stay together after long days of treatments and procedures.

In many instances, NIH is the best hope for successful treatment or a cure for the children receiving treatment.  Often times, families travel from all over the world because conventional treatments have failed.  Without The Children's Inn, many families would find a hotel stay during the treatment duration, cost prohibitive.  Volunteer organizations take turns providing and serving lunches and dinners for the families.

Warner provided the meal through Moby Dick Catering - allowing for food allergies and sensitivities.  We also had fun making home made cookies - including gluten free!  The Warner volunteers were blessed beyond measure to have the opportunity to meet with and serve the special families at the Children's Inn.
